Journalism plays a role of transcendent importance in the political, social, and cultural lives of nations. In the traditional sense, journalism, the Fourth Estate (el cuarto poder), embraces the human activity of editing, producing, writing and reporting for periodicals and newspapers. This exhibition, selected from the permanent collections in Archives & Special Collections of the University of Connecticut Libraries, explores the rich history of journalism in Latin America & Spain.
