This exhibit of photographic images, historical documents,
maps, and memorabilia from the railroad archive of Archives
& Special Collections provides an historical overview
of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, more
commonly known as the New Haven Railroad, and its
predecessor railroads.
The New Haven Railroad established a main railroad link from Boston to New York City with a network of tracks through every city and almost every town in southern New England, and had a strong impact on the economy, infrastructure, and citizens in Connecticut from the late-1800s to the mid-1900s.
