| The principal theme of Mr. Revill's work is
the bird. These are not the birds you will find feeding in
your backyard or paddling in the local pond. Rather, they
are the fanciful creations of an artist who is enchanted by
the winged beings around us. Mr. Revill's birds are
expressed in a multitude of forms in bronze and painted
wood. Inspiration for his work is wide-ranging: from Inuit
and African sources, to quasi-mechanical representations of
our feathered friends. The work will delight and amaze you,
and you won't view birds quite the same way ever again. Mr.
Revill lives in Eastford, Connecticut, where in addition to
creating bird sculptures, he raises Ilamas. |
