Need to know what time it is somewhere else? The U. S. Naval Observatory Master Clock is the official source of time used in the United Sates. It offers digital clocks and a converter menu that allows you to check for times in various time zones. Even better, its frequently asked questions file includes the supremely important, "Where can I get an Elvis clock?"

Feminist Science Fiction

This site for Feminist Science Fiction, Fantasy, & Utopian literature contains links to the burgeoning primary and secondary literature. Author and subject access provide access to this material, and there are links to material written for children and young adults and written in non-print formats.

Connecticut Documents

Designed and created by the Homer Babbidge Library's David Avery, this guide to Connecticut State and Municipal documents provides links to Connecticut's state and federal representatives, Connecticut municipalities, and to documents created by Connecticut state agencies.

The Homeopathy Homepage's attempt to provide links to every homeopathic-related resource available via WWW. Graphics have been kept to a minimum, and links offer access to software, homeopathic discussion groups, directory information, articles, and relevant sites.

The Vegetarian Pages are intended to be a definitive guide to what is available on the Internet for vegetarians, vegans, and others. A superb source for locating vegetarian recipes, it offers links to vegetarians around the world, information on health issues, lists of famous vegetarians, and connections to other sites.

There are many telephone directories available via WWW, but this listing of more than 90 million personal names (and their accompanying addresses) and more than 10 million businesses combines comprehensiveness with friendliness.

Oxford English Dictionary

Although currently under construction, a selection of the Oxford English Dictionary's contents is currently available via WWW. Oxford University Press's homepage provides definitions and etymologies for the months, offers a randomly selected word of the day, and provides links to related sites.

African-American News

A site designed and maintained exclusively by The Afro-American Newspaper Company of Baltimore City, Inc., the Afro-American Newspaper site provides information on contemporary African American affairs. It offers access to classified advertisements and contains links to other sites.

Currency Exchange

The Currency Converter allows users to view an exchange rate and convert currencies on any day from 1 January 1990 to the present in currencies ranging from the Albanian Lek to the Zimbabwe Dollar. The median and the daily high and low are quoted, and when enough prices are available, the 75% interfractile range is given.
