What do chicken plucking and electronic reference have to do with one another?

You may not need to know that the University once had a course called "Lessons in Plucking." (It did, in 1907.) But someone wanted to know, and that's one of the questions about the University's history to which the staff of Archives & Special Collections recently responded via their new electronic reference service at: doddref@lib.uconn.edu. The mailbox is checked twice daily, and questions are answered by the staff member on reference duty, or are forwarded to an appropriate subject specialist. The account can be used for basic information, such as service schedules, or for in-depth reference assistance. So, if you have a question, comment, or suggestion, let us hear from you electronically, and dont' forget to check out our homepage: /DoddCenter/.
