Elsa Arnett-Conley joined the library staff in March as manager of director's office services. Most recently she was the supervisor of customer and volunteer services at Rockville General Hospital, where she managed a program of 400 volunteers. Elsa holds a BGS degree in communications from UConn and will receive her MS degree in organizational development from Eastern Connecticut State University in May.
Esmond Chang is the Libraries' new fiscal manager. He has held finance and budget positions in the University since 1986, first in the Animal Science Department and most recently in the Dean's office in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Ed holds degrees in both business administration and in accounting.
Merlita Taitague joined the library staff in 1994 as a temporary employee in the Library Administrative Office, then went on to work part time in Research & Information Services. In March she accepted a second half-time appointment as development assistant in the Director's Office. Merlita's background in public relations and publishing, and her computer skills are adding depth to the Libraries' recent efforts to build a development program.
Elizabeth Tonucci brings an extensive background in human resources management to her new position as personnel specialist in the Director's Office. A graduate of UConn, she also holds a master's degree in organizational behavior from the University of Hartford. Her library responsibilities include management of personnel operations, recruitment, and staff development.
