Student Employees Honored

Nearly 400 part time student assistants are hired every year to help keep the libraries operating. A full 40% of the library staff consists of student workers: without them, library services would be severely curtailed. In April, four library student employees were nominated for the first Student of the Year Award sponsored by Student Employment: Jennifer Badowski, Director's Office; Mig Diaz, Director's Office; Kevin Watson, Microtext/Electronic Services; and Charles Prevost, Reserve Services. Each student nominee proved to be exceptional within his or her department and, at an Awards Ceremony, each received a certificate of appreciation, a Uconn mug, and our grateful thanks and congratulations!
