The Thomson Reuters Corporation eClassroom (Library Room 1.62)

 

 

 

The Thomson Reuters Corporation eClassroom is housed in the Jeremy Richard Library at the UConn Stamford campus. It is a state-of-the-art wireless classroom, funded by the the Thompson Reuters Corporation headquartered in Stamford. The room is used for library instruction and may be reserved for classroom use when the need is demonstrated.

 

Library Instruction

The eClassroom permits hands-on classroom instruction for librarians to teach library and information resources to UConn students, faculty, and staff. Faculty who want to schedule assignment-related classes should contact a librarian.

Faculty Use

Faculty may reserve the electronic classroom if they require use of the Internet and/or other audiovisual capabilities. Single-session or semester-long reservations must be made in advance. Reservations will be granted on a first-come-first-served basis. Faculty assigned to the class must be present while students are using the classroom and the faculty is responsible for the security of the room and its equipment during use.
Classroom Use Policy
  • The electronic classroom may only be used when a faculty member is present in the room.
  • Software may not be be modified, added, or removed from the computers.
  • No food or drink is permitted in the classroom.
  • The room should be restored to its original condition, including clean boards, no paper clutter, and all software applications closed.
  • Please contact the librarian on duty if you encounter difficulties with the equipment or software.
