Copyright Project Team (2005-2007)
In 2005, the University of Connecticut Libraries (UCL) took a leadership role at the University on the issue of copyright by launching a copyright initiative intended to inform library activities and educate the university community. Over the course of two years, the three-member Copyright Project Team—in consultation with numerous parties in and outside of UCL—rolled out a copyright web resource; established policies for the library to follow; prepared a formal proposal for a new university-wide committee; and organized or presented forums and presentations at the university and beyond. In 2007, the University libraries charged a new Copyright Team with continuing this work.
