March 29th: UConn Reads Guest Speaker, 3:30PM, Room 108 (MPR)
Masum Momaya, Ed.D (Harvard University), international women's rights activists, weekly columnist, and curator of a recent exhibit at the International Musum of Women in San Francisco, will provide a critical review of this year's UConn Reads selection Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. October 26, 2011: New Ukrainian Wave presents a musical performance by talented young Ukrainaian musicians: Orest Smovzh (Violin), Arsen Yakovenko (Piano) and Volodymyr Rozdolsky (Double Bass), in the GenRe Auditorium from 6:00-7:30pm.
