BiographyMr. Charles A. Wheeler was a member of the 1888 graduating class of the Storrs Agricultural School. In 1897, he returned to his alma mater, now the Storrs Agricultural College, as an instructor in mathematics. Over the years, Mr. Wheeler's responsibilities increased to include free-hand drawing and surveying as well as those associated with being the College Engineer (1915-1930). His wife, Maude K. Wheeler taught Domestic Science (Home Economics) at the College from 1898 to 1900. He retired, a Professor of Mathematics in 1930. Gold in particular, in addition to promotional materials regarding appropriate agricultural supplies and the program at the Storrs Agricultural College.
