Help with opening .pdfs - For Windows based PCs (Mac users do not need these instructions.)

We are currently experiencing problems with Acrobat 6.0 and ECR readings in WebCT. This has been the only version with reported problems. Acrobat 4 and 5 are working. If you are using Acrobat Reader 6.0 on a Windows based PC, you will not be able to open up an ECR document from WebCT. Two things can be done to work around this problem. See instructions below for use of Acrobat 6. Or download Acrobat 7. See benefits to Acrobat 7... Note: At the Homer Babbidge Library in Storrs, the computers are either running Adobe Acrobat 5 or the settings have been changed to work with ECR in WebCT. Solution 1 (Recomended): Changing Settings in Acrobat Or do you want to try Acrobat 7?
Note: This has been tested with Acrobat Reader 6.0.1 and 6.0.2. If you have 6.0 and it doesn't work, upgrade your Acrobat Reader. Solution 2: Saving File and Opening from Saved Location
