Locating UConn Theses and Dissertations

UConn dissertations and theses owned by the Libraries are found in HOMER through a title, author, or keyword search. To limit a search to dissertations/theses awarded at UConn, use the boolean keyword search terms: connecticut AND thesis followed by a department name or other keyword. Examples:

connecticut and thesis and "educational psychology"
connecticut and thesis and "federal reserve"

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Full Text index includes entries for more than 9000 UConn Ph.D. dissertations (but no Masters theses) as far back as 1965, and provides the full text for most of those completed in 1997 forward.

Availability of new dissertations:

UConn theses and dissertations are located in both the Homer Babbidge Library and Special Collections in the Dodd Research Center. A circulating copy of a dissertation is available in the Babbide Library approximately 2 months after it is sent to the library by the department. A non-circulating copy is available in Special Collections approximately 7-8 months after completion.

The University of Connecticut does not have copies of theses/dissertations for sale. UConn Ph.D. dissertations may be purchased from UMI Dissertation Publishing

Locating Theses and Dissertations on the Shelves:
