Access to Newspaper Collections - Online, Print, and Microfilm
Most of the information needs for which the libraries once collected national and foreign newspapers are now met on the web or through aggregator services. The UConn libraries rely primarily on aggregator news services (LexisNexis, Factiva) for current newspaper content, and licensed databases offering facsimile access to historical newspaper content. As more content becomes available electronically, the libraries will rely less on - and maintain fewer - print and microfilm formats for access to current and archival content.Online Access to Contemporary Newspaper Content
