Responsibilities

Phara is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:

Contact Phara to request any of these services, or for help with any other library-related question or concerns.

Course-related Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.

Citation Linker (SFX)

Current Awareness and Alerting Services -Many of the libraries' licensed research databases and electronic journal collections offer users the ability to create research alert profiles - automated keyword search and tables of contents alerts for journals, sent weekly to an email address

New Electronic Resources RSS Feed
- New UConn Library databases.
(In order to utilize a feed you will need what is known as a feed reader or aggregator. i.e. Bloglines, RSSFwd.com, SharpReader) Subscribe to these other Library feeds!

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.
