Responsibilities

Sharon is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:

Departments, Schools, or Programs

• Pharmacy
• Pharm.D. Program
  Resources in Pharmacy
• Nutritional Sciences
  Resources in Nutritional Sciences

Research Institutes
and Associations

• Center for Biochemical Toxicology

Contact Sharon to request any of these services, or for help with any other library-related question or concerns.

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.

Background

My background includes many academic credits in the sciences, a Master's Degree in Library Science, and over ten years of experience as a science librarian at academic institutions. The answer to an FAQ is that I am a professional librarian, not a licensed pharmacist.
