Sandy is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:
Departments, Schools, or Programs  
Judaic Studies
Resources in Judaic Studies
Collection Development Plan for Judaic Studies
Classics & Ancient Mediterranean Studies

Contact Sandy to request any of these services, or for help with any other library-related question or concerns.

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.

   
Background
Sandy received a B.A. in religion from Ohio Wesleyan University and an A.M.L.S. from the University of Michigan. Her professional experience in academic libraries encompasses cataloging, management, systems work with bibliographic databases, collection development and teaching knowledge organization at the graduate level. Before coming to the University of Connecticut, Sandy worked at Brown University.
