assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related
instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual
training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions,
please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.
Research
Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources,
performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at
other institutions.
Citation
Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications,
bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to
the Libraries' collection.

| Background |
|
Tracey's academic training includes master's degrees in Library
and Information Science and Music
(Musicology) from
The University of Texas at Austin
(UT), where she focused on twentieth-century music and percussion
performance. In her master's report she identified and provided intellectual
access to materials in UT's Harry
Ransom Humanities Research Center related to British composer
Benjamin Britten (1913-1976). She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music
from the University of California
at Davis.
Previous library experience includes the General
Libraries at The University of Texas (as assistant in the Fine
Arts Library, Automated Cataloging, Document Delivery, and Reference),
Saint Olaf College (librarian
in general reference, music cataloging, and Internet instruction),
and Southwest Texas State University
(music librarian).
She is active in the Music
Library Assocation (MLA), New
England Music Library Association, the Music
OCLC Users Group (Reference Services Committee; see the committee's
MOUG Public
Services Resources page), and the Voyager
Music Users Group.
